Clash of the Titans Remake

Now I am totally against Hollywood taking any classic movie and remaking it and in the process destroying it. Everyone knows that the well of ideas in Hollywood has all but dried up, bar a few gems here and there, one of those recent gems being Avatar and Hollywood has resorted to taking comics, books and old movies and remaking them for the general population. So when I heard that Hollywood was going to remake the Epic “Clash of the Titans”, a movie that I watched and loved as a child and which got me interested in mythology I was highly annoyed. I refused to read any updates about the movies progress and shuddered to think which pea brained director they would get to remake one of the most beloved movies of all time, a director that would modernize the already perfect story for a twilight obsessed audience. *shudder* *horror* *vomit*

However having said that, I’ve downloaded the trailer and the role of Perseus will be played by Sam Worthington who you would have seen in Avatar as Jake Sully and Terminator: Salvation. I must say that the trailer looks good but we will have to wait and see. Will it be a CGI extravaganza ? or will it blend excellent CGI and remain true to the original ? Who knows.
